1. Acceptance
By installing, opening or using Jibonpotro, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app. If you add another person’s information, you confirm that you have the lawful authority or consent to do so.
2. What Jibonpotro does
Jibonpotro is an offline-first personal life-administration tool. Features may include document and attachment storage, expiry and responsibility reminders, bill tracking, family profiles, an Emergency Card, Guides, Life Packs, and password-protected backups. Features, design and published content may change.
The app does not submit government applications, verify identity, approve any process, or represent any public or private authority.
3. Eligibility and age
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of agreeing to these Terms. A child or dependent’s information should only be added by an adult with the necessary lawful authority or consent. The app is designed with Bangladesh in mind; if used elsewhere, you are responsible for local legal compliance.
4. Limited licence
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on your Android device for personal, non-commercial purposes. No ownership or source-code rights are transferred. Open-source components remain governed by their respective licences.
5. Your responsibilities
- Keep information accurate, lawful and current;
- Obtain permission to store another person’s documents, images, health or contact details;
- Protect your device lock, optional app lock, backup password and backup files;
- Do not rely on reminders as the only control for important deadlines;
- Verify recipients and files before exporting or sharing;
- Confirm official requirements, fees, eligibility and deadlines with the relevant authority.
6. Local data, encryption and backups
Personal information normally remains on your device. It may be lost if the device is lost or damaged, reset, app data is cleared, or the app is uninstalled. You are responsible for creating regular .jptr backups, keeping them safely, and remembering the password.
We do not see, store or reset your backup password. If it is forgotten, recovery may be impossible. A restore can replace existing data; read the confirmation and keep a separate backup when appropriate.
Encryption reduces risk but does not guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for risks from a rooted or compromised device, weak screen lock, malware, careless sharing, or exposed backup storage.
7. Guides, Life Packs and published content
Guides and Life Packs are preparatory information. We aim to cite official sources, show verification dates and provide warnings, but laws, rules, fees, offices, links and processes may change without notice. We do not warrant that content is complete, current or error-free.
Installing a Life Pack creates an editable personal plan. Completing tasks, storing evidence or showing progress does not prove government approval, application acceptance, or legal compliance. Content updates aim to preserve personal progress, but app versions or migrations may change behaviour.
Official-source links lead to third-party websites whose availability, security, content and privacy practices we do not control.
8. Government, legal, financial, medical and emergency notices
- Government: Jibonpotro is not a government entity and does not represent or claim endorsement by one.
- Legal/tax: Checklists and Guides are not advice from a lawyer, accountant or tax professional.
- Financial: Organising bills, insurance or bank records is not payment processing, banking, insurance brokerage or financial advice.
- Medical: Health-record, medicine and Emergency Card features do not diagnose, treat or provide medical advice.
- Emergency: The app and its notifications are not an emergency service. Contact local emergency services and qualified professionals in urgent situations.
9. Reminders and notifications
Android power management, permissions, battery optimisation, device time, app restrictions, reboot or system behaviour can delay, silence or prevent notifications. Jibonpotro uses background scheduling without relying on exact-alarm permission. Dismissing a notification does not complete a task. Maintain an alternative calendar or control for critical deadlines.
10. Prohibited use
You may not use the app for unlawful activity, fraud, impersonation, unauthorised surveillance, malware distribution, service disruption, security bypass, reverse engineering (except where applicable law does not allow that restriction), intellectual-property infringement, or violations of another person’s privacy.
11. Intellectual property and feedback
Jibonpotro’s name, branding, app design, original illustrations, text, schemas and software are owned by us or applicable licensors. Government-document thumbnails are identification-oriented illustrations; relevant marks remain owned by their authorities. If you send feedback, we may use it to improve the app without exposing personal information.
12. Availability and updates
Private offline features generally work without internet, while content refresh, images and official links require connectivity. Features may be changed, suspended or discontinued for maintenance, security, compatibility, policy or other reasons. Updates may be required for security and database migrations.
13. No warranty and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app and content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without express or implied warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or data recovery.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jibonpotro and its developer are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use or inability to use the app, missed deadlines, outdated content, notification failure, device loss, forgotten passwords, backup corruption or unauthorised sharing. Where a limitation is not fully permitted, the maximum lawful limitation applies.
14. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to hold Jibonpotro harmless from reasonable claims and costs caused by unlawful use, breach of these Terms, unauthorised use of another person’s data, or infringement of third-party rights.
15. Changes and termination
When we update these Terms, we will change the date and reasonably notify users of material changes. Continued use after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance. You can stop using the app at any time by taking a backup if desired, deleting external copies yourself, clearing app data and uninstalling. Online content access may be restricted for serious abuse or legal necessity.
16. Governing law and disputes
Unless applicable law requires otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. The parties will first try to resolve disputes in good faith. Mandatory consumer rights that cannot be excluded remain unaffected. If one provision is unenforceable, the others remain effective.
